Panther Country Salers

Panther Country Salers is a Salers Seedstock Producer, owned and operated by Tim Reichmuth. Panther Country is located in Northeast Nebraska, 1/4 mile north of Leigh off of HWY 91. We are about 90 miles NW of Omaha. The farm has been in the family for more than 100 years.

We bought our first Salers bull in 1986. We were looking for something different. We needed a breed whose calves came easy at birth and got up and nursed right away (CALF VIGOR). Salers provide this along with good mothering ability and excellent growth with less fat while still maintaining good marbling (BEST MARBLING OF THE CONTINENTAL BREEDS). Salers have excellent fertility and have less health problems than many breeds.

They are an excellent choice for those looking for a low maintenance breed, something I was looking for. I also run a Construction Company (BLUE VALLEY BUILDERS) so I am not around for much of the time during the day.

Using Salers genetics would be one of the best decisions to increase the profitability of your cow heard.

Here at Panther Country we strive to raise bulls with extra length, depth and thickness to help our bull buyers make money. Another way to help our customers is by DNA testing. We test our bulls for both Homozygous Black and Homozygous Polled. The last several years we tested for the Leptin and tenderness genes. We also ultrasound for actual Ribeye and Marbling.
